Affordable Photo Services at Philpost-6

Postal ID applicants no longer have to go through so much trouble coming up with ID pictures for Postal ID. Philpost-6 now offers photo services at the Regional Office and Bacolod City Post Office.

For only P 35.00, you get 6 pieces of high-quality passport-sized ID pictures already. This is actually cheaper than having your photos professionally taken and printed.

So don’t worry if you don’t have your ID pictures with you yet when you apply for a Postal ID, our customer-friendly staff will take care of that. As much as possible, though, we encourage that you come in business attire, or at the very least sleeved tops (not sleeveless or tube tops, please!), considering that your Postal ID will be used for business transactions.

New Philpost Board Chairman Alfredo G. Gabot Visits Postal Region 6

Chairman Alfredo G. Gabot is in Postal Region 6 again, but this time as the new Chairman of the Board of Directors, Philippine Postal Corporation. Along with General Edgardo Espinosa, Member of the Philpost Board of Directors, and Atty. Florante Cruz, Corporate Secretary of the Philpost Board of Directors, Chairman Gabot met with the postal officials of Philpost Region 6 on May 5, 2010, at Villa Sagrado, Gen, Hughes, Iloilo City, presenting to them an overview of the current situation of the corporation, the rationalization plan, as well as the revenue generating projects the BOD is proposing or working on.

The working Chairman cited modernization programs and projects with PAGCOR, SSS, and PCSO. He also pressed on the need to aggressively market Philpost’s traditional products but also emphasized the importance of exploring non-traditional avenues of generating income. The Chairman asked for the cooperation of the postal employees, too, pointing out the value of a harmonious working relationship among them and the top officials in achieving corporate goals.

Philpost Solid Waste Management Program In Full Swing

Philpost launched the Solid Waste Management Program, led by Postmaster General and CEO Hector RR Villanueva and APMG for Administration Luis Carlos last February 26, 2010, proving that Philpost is not just people-friendly, but environment-friendly, too. The program is expected to be in full swing in time for the 40th Anniversary of Earth Day on April 22, 2010.
